Congratulations to our first BEAR Award Recipients!

We’re excited to introduce a new weekly student recognition program: the B.E.A.R. Award, which replaces our previous “Student of the Month” initiative.
This award celebrates students who consistently show great character and effort. Here’s what B.E.A.R. stands for:
• B – Behavior: Makes good choices and follows classroom and school rules
• E – Effort: Tries their best and doesn’t give up
• A – Attitude: Brings positivity and encouragement to others
• R – Respect: Shows kindness and respect to classmates, teachers, and school property

Each Student received a certificate and book coin to choose a book from our book vending machine. Congratulations!

We are so grateful to our school safety partners for joining us this morning as we took a hard look at the plans for the new Buckingham Elementary School to make it the safest school we can build. 💚 A huge shoutout to our amazing PTA! 💚 They designed a custom water bottle for EVERY student in Girls on the Run! 🏃‍♀️✨ To make it even more fun, they also included stickers so the girls can personalize their bottles. Thank you for keeping our team hydrated and inspired—we’re so grateful for your support!

A huge THANK YOU to the Rotary Club for their generous donation of snacks, pull-ups, and water bottles for our PreK3 classes! Your kindness helps us support our youngest learners each day, and we are so grateful for your continued partnership with our school community.

Thank you to State Librarian Morgan Lehr Miller and Maryland State Library Agency staff who visited the school libraries at Stephen Decatur High, Snow Hill Middle, and Buckingham Elementary schools on Tuesday to see our innovative spaces and talk with students, teachers, and administrators about the benefits of having access to instruction, tools, and information through the library. #WeAreWorcester #PartnershipsInAction
