It's Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you for inspiring us every day and helping us become the best version of ourselves! BIS is so blessed to have our teachers!

The BIS community is mourning the loss of a special student, Amayah Joyner. Amayah was a 5th grader in Mrs. Fairman’s homeroom. In recent weeks, Amayah was hospitalized at John’s Hopkins for a health condition she battled her entire life. Amayah passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2nd from heart failure. Amayah will be remembered for her love of art, especially drawing and tracing, her quiet presence, and all things purple, pink, and red!
A viewing will be held at Burbage Funeral Home on Friday, May 10th from 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday, May 11th from 10:00-11:00 am. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am at Burbage. Please keep the Joyner family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
