Our first group of 5th graders visited the OP Veterans Memorial to learn more about the memorial, flag etiquette, and how the U.S. Coast Guard helps protect our shoreline. #3RsBIS







This morning we welcomed the 4th grade class from Ocean City Elementary School for the first of our transition tours for our newest Jr. Seahawks. They learned what it means to be a Jr. Seahawk and toured the building. We ended the morning with a push pop and questions. #3RsBIS











Sanjay Gupta was born in 1969. He is an American neurosurgeon, medical reporter, and writer. Dr. Gupta is an expert in his field and has written several books and given numerous speeches on health-related topics. He has also made many appearances on TV News shows. He was also a member of his college Glee Club and he plays the accordion.


As you observe Memorial Day today, do it in remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives to make it possible 🇺🇸

Junko Tabei was born in Japan in 1939. She was a Japanese mountaineer, author, and teacher. She was the first woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest and the first woman to ascend the Seven Summits, climbing the highest peak on every continent. In 1969, Tabei founded the Ladies Climbing Club which was a women's only mountain climbing club.

Duke Paoa Kahinu Mokoe Hulikohola Kahanamoku was born on August 24, 1890. He is known as a Hawaiian competition swimmer who popularized the sport of surfing. He is nicknamed 'The Duke' and 'The Big Kahuna'. Many say he embodied the spirit of Aloha. Duke won five Olympic medals for swimming.


The iReady end-of-year diagnostic starts tomorrow: reading on Monday and Tuesday, and math on Wednesday and Thursday!


Much fun was had on our annual bowling trip. Our students demonstrated positive social skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. #3RsBIS
