It’s official, BES! Our One School, One Book title has been revealed!
This year, our whole school will be reading The World According to Humphrey by Betty G. Birney — and yes… our tiny hero has a huge personality. 🐹

Our schoolwide reading program begins on February 2 (see the attached reading calendar), so get ready for daily chapters, fun surprises, and family-friendly activities along the way.

• Do not walk, skate, or play on frozen bodies of water. A good rule to follow is there is no such thing as a sate thickness of ice in our area.
• Keep pets and children away from ice-covered bodies of water.
Animals are particularly at risk of falling through thin ice.
• Educate children. Tell kids about the dangers of playing near frozen bodies of water and reinforce the importance of never venturing out on the ice.
• Report dangerous conditions. If you see anyone venturing onto the ice, immediately call 91l and inform local authorities.

Calling all 3rd grade families!
Join the BES team for Donuts with Grown-Ups on February 5, 2026, from 9:30–10:15 AM. This morning event gives students and their grown-ups time to share a donut and start the day together.
