Dr. Jon Andes, Board of Education Member, and former Superintendent of Worcester County Public Schools visited our 3rd and 4th grade music classes with an engaging presentation of the Great Highland Bagpipes.
As a founding member of OC Pipes and Drums, Dr. Andes brings a wealth of experience, having played the bagpipes for 27 years. During his visit, he delved into the history of this iconic instrument, explored its intricate components, and treated our students to a performance of traditional bagpipe music.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Andes for sharing his passion and expertise, leaving our young learners inspired by the magic of the bagpipes!

Reminder there is NO after school today! Students will be dismissed using their normal transportation.

Today we celebrate Mrs. Bunting during National School Librarian Day! Thank you for your dedication to fostering a love of reading and helping to shape the future of our students. Your passion for educating and guiding students is invaluable and truly appreciated.

REMINDER: This school year, WCPS has adopted new safety protocols. Learn more about the protocols at https://www.worcesterk12.org/page/school-safety-protocols. #WeAreWorcester #SafetyMatters

Spring Testing at BES is right around the corner!
You can help your child prepare for their spring assessments by:
- Helping them go to bed early and get enough rest so they are ready to learn.
- Be sure your student is at school as many days as possible leading up to testing. Every day of instruction matters!
- Avoid dropping off your student late or picking them up early. These disruptions in the school day can impact the learning of your child.
- If you have specific concerns, reach out to your child's teacher on how you can support your student!

BREAKING: Worcester County Public Schools has been awarded the Flame of Excellence award for the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore 22-23 campaign! Thank you to our school system community for helping us invest in our communities! @UWLES #TogetherWeLIVEUNITED
