Dear Buckingham Community,

We are thrilled to announce the Buckingham Elementary School Replacement Project has received unanimous approval from the Worcester County Commissioners to move forward after securing a record level of state funding (along with Berlin Intermediate School)! This milestone is a direct result of your incredible support, generosity, and dedication.

There are so many people to thank that helped bring this project to fruition including our teachers and staff, parents, the BES Conceptual Design Committee, the BES Replacement School Workgroup, the IAC, Senator Mary Beth Carozza, Superintendent Louis Taylor, the Worcester County Board of Education, the WCPS Executive Team, WCPS Facilities Planner Mr. Joe Price, and the Worcester County Commissioners.

This was truly a collaborative community effort, and your contributions have been instrumental in making this project a reality. From attending community meetings and providing feedback to donating your time and resources, your involvement has been invaluable. We are truly grateful for the unwavering support of our community and your commitment to our school.

The new school will provide a state-of-the-art learning environment for our students, fostering their growth and development. The schematic design process is expected to begin in the next 60 days with groundbreaking slated for May of 2027. We look forward to sharing these exciting moments with you as we break ground on a brighter future for Buckingham Elementary School!

Thank you again for your support.
